Personnel's Responsibilities
Project Manager
- The day to day operation, decision making and execution of the work shall be directly by the Project Manager.
The Project Manager shall be directly responsible to the Company management for the due and proper execution of
the Project and shall supervise, coordinate, manage and direct the project accordingly.
The Project Manager will determine engineering personnel requirements for
the Project but subject to the overall principles agreed by the Company management.
- The Project Manager shall represent the M/s. Germin on the Project and the Contract.
- Ensuring that financial and contractual matters are being resolved in a proper manner.
- Verify the construction schedule, highlight the critical activities, and ensure that
the dates set for each Project will be met by monitoring the overall progress and
eliminating major delay factors.
- Monitoring the performance of the engineering staff on the site.
- Follow the production of monthly payment certificates and cash flow control
on the Project to maintain the target margins.
QA/QC Representative
- Ensure the quality system on Site in maintained.
- Inspect and ensure that all delivered materials and
equipments on the Site are quality controlled and are to the Project specification
and requirements.
- Witness and sign all test forms as part of the system
start up and commissioning.
- Investigation into the cause of non-conformities in relation to the Project quality plan.
- Review the quality and standard of workmanship and materials.
- Insure that the corrective action is taken and that it is affective.
- Report to the Main Contractor Quality Manager.
Site Engineer
- Receiving the day to day schedule of the construction activities and executing the same in
a timely and quality manner.
- Issuing the required day to day instructions and work order to the Site Forman and Group
Leaders, and ensuring that the same is executed.
- Submitting the required materials submittals, shop drawings,
inspection request, progress reports, daily reports and preparing the monthly
evaluation.
- Supervising the work executed and ensuring achieving the required quality to the Project
specifications.
- Coordinating the sequence of work activities and coordinating
with the different trades and Sub-Contractors.
- Certifying the suppliers and Sub-Contractors progress
payment and invoices.
Forman
The Forman will be responsible for managing a team of skilled Manpower’s
and Unskilled Labours. His duties will be:
- Ensuring materials and workmanship is undertaken to the set standard.
- Effectively organizing the team of workforce consists
of skilled Carpenters and Helpers to meet set assignments of works in the
set duration.
- Plan ahead of time for labor requirements and materials
and report to the engineer.
Design Draftsman
The Design Draftsman will be responsible towards the design and preparing shop drawings. The duties of the Design
Draftsman are as follows:
- Produce shop drawings from design drawings.
- Review and check information as shop drawings for errors.
- Obtain the Project Engineering Manager’s approval on drawings to be issued.
- After the drawings as and when required to reflect the changes on the design.
- Ensure each change to the drawings is noted in brief and the version number is altered accordingly.
- Issue drawings in line with the shop drawing programme.
- Produce A-built drawings from corrected workshop drawings.
